Linkline

What is Linkline?

Linkline is an immediate response telephone service which enables you, at the touch of a button, to alert someone when you need help. Linkline staff are available by phone 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to help you live independently with peace of mind knowing that help is at hand.

Anyone living in the borough can benefit from Linkline. This includes residents of Hounslow Homes, Housing Associations and private residents. All sheltered units are fitted with an alarm. Pull cords are located in every room which links to the Warden Call System and Linkline Service.

What are the benefits of Linkline?

  • Linkline is suitable for anyone who feels they may benefit from the security and peace of mind the service offers, such as older people, people with disabilities and individuals who feel threatened or vulnerable because of previous incidents of domestic violence or racial harassment
  • Each customer is given a small base unit with a trigger button and an accompanying pendant which can be triggered from anywhere in the home
  • Once a call is received, our staff will be able to speak to you and will decide what action to take. This might be calling an ambulance, the police or your G.P  
  • If you are unable to speak to the staff, we will have your information on the screen and will contact your nominated key holders, such as family or friends, and ask them to visit you
  • To connect to Linkline, you will need a telephone, a telephone point, a 13 amp socket close by and two key holders. (If you have a problem providing a key holder you may be able to use a key safe)
