Future events: New youth activities for Isleworth residents The Bridgelink Centre on the Ivybridge estate has launched a number of exciting new activities for residents aged between 12 and 18. From music and dance sessions to a new youth club the Centre now offers a wide range of fun events. More than 70,000 people are living with AIDS in the UK, with one in three unaware that they have the disease. Buying a red ribbon will donate some much-needed money to research and treatments and also help to decrease the stigma surrounding HIV. FAST FACTS Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is a retrovirus that can lead to acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a collection of symptoms and infections resulting from specific damage to the immune system caused by HIV. The late stage of the condition leaves individuals susceptible to opportunistic infections and tumours.
