Police Surgerys March/April 2012

The Safer Neighbourhood Team will be

holding a police surgerys in the Brabazon community hall on the following dates:

  • Sunday 4th March 11.00am-12.30pm,
  • Friday 13th April 6.30pm-7.30pm
  • Sunday 29th April 11.00am-12.30pm

Community Rooms Activities

Bera is now starting to plan activites for 2012, with the Diamond Jubilee coming up and also the Olymics, BERA is hoping to do something, in the meantime the Community rooms are fully functional with different activites going on.
At the moment the timetable is like this:

Every Monday :

  • Dance 4.30 to 5.30pm
  • Fitness for Mum 7pm to 8pm

Tuesdays:

  • Stroke club 10M TO 12 noon
  • Square dancing

Wednesdays coffee morning from 10am to 12 noon

Thursdays

  • Mother and toddler 10am to 12 noon starts on 12/01/2024
  • Youth Club 6.30pm to 8.30pm

Saurday

Arts and Crafts 11am to 1pm starting from 14/01/2024


The Community room charges are as follows:

  • Hall hire for residents £10 per hour (open for birthdays, weddings etc)
  • Associated members £20 per hours
  • Businesses £30 per hour

£25 deposit payable when hiring rooms (returnable)

Raffle donations

Do you have any unwanted gifts ,bric brac or books? Please can you donate to your community rooms for raffles. thank you ring sandra on 02087590982 or bring to community rooms on wednesdays.

BERA would like to thank Dhillons and the Greengrocer for their kind donations for the xmas raffles.

Coach Trip planned for seniors

Have your say on forthcoming events

To all residents, we would like to know what would you like to see going on in your community rooms. If you have any ideas please ring sandra on 02087590982 or come and see us on a wedsnesday morning between 10- 12noon?

BERA would like to arrange new events as soon as possible. The community rooms are for all residents please use them they are open to everyone!

The Hounslow Stroke Club

The Hounslow Stroke Club will be moving to the Brabazon Estate Community Centre 106 Brabazon Road Heston TW5 9LT every tuesday monrning from December 6 2011, 10am until 12noon.

This club has been running for nearly 50 years and is a social club that also runs the occasional outing and lunches. The Stroke Club is primarily for victims of Stroke, also welcomes people with heart problems or other health issues and will try to hekp in any way possible.

Please come along and meet others with the same difficulties you are facing. A problem shared is a problem halved!

Arts and Crafts

Everyone's welcome, young and old to arts and crafts starting up again on September 10 2011 at the Community Centre, 11am to 2pm, £1 per session. Bring a sandwich and we'll provide drinks and a bag of crisps!

Mother and Toddler Group

Are you interested in joining our Mother and Toddler Group? Starting on Sepetmber 8 2011, 10am till 12noon, £1per session

50 Club

With Christmas coming up we are starting the 50 club again, with three big prizes! Tickets will be sold at the community rooms, anyone interested please come down to 106 Brabazon.

Volunteers needed

We are looking for any volunteers, if you're unemployed or have spare time, we can send you on free training courses run by Hounslow Homes and other training opportunities

BRENTFORD FOOTBALL CLUB

BERA has been very successful in getting more funding to keep Brentford Football Club working on the Estate. The money has come from the UK Comic Relief Fund.

Please send your children out to play football and keep fit on the main Brabazon Green for FREE!!!!

Coffee Mornings

Come and meet us for coffee and a chat on Tuesdays and Thursdays, all welcome from 9.30am

WESTPLAY BACK AT BRABAZON

We have received the very good news that Westplay are coming back to the Brabazon Estate to work with your children on the main Brabazon Green.

As the evenings are getting lighter, get your children out of the house and out to play after school with Westplay!

All 7-13 year olds are welcome from 3.30pm until 5.00pm on Monday evenings

There is no charge - this is a free project.

Girl Guiders......

The Girl Guides are looking for adult volunteers and also young women aged from 16-18 to train up as volunteers to work with younger girls. This is a great opportunity for young women to get good experience in community work and to add a skill to your CV.

Hire a community room

The rooms are available for hire, e.g. for birthday parties at £10.00 an hour. Are you interesed in coming to a social quiz night, curry night or Halloween Fancy Dress night?
