About Linkline

Our community alarm service, Linkline has been operating for over 20 years, and helps residents remain independent in their own home, whilst giving them peace of mind. It is an effective means of summoning help in an emergency and is operational 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. It is particularly useful to any older or disabled person, especially those living alone or whose carer is away from home for long periods. It now caters for anyone who feels they could benefit from it, including victims of racial harassment and/or domestic violence.

How it works

Individuals can wear a pendant with an alarm button, activate the button on the base unit or utilise both. When the alarm is activated, an indicator light flashes and bleeps, and a connection is made via the telephone line to our control room which immediately identifies the caller and their details to the responding Linkline Officer. A two way speech link is created and the officer directly communicates with the user to ascertain the problem and assistance required. The Linkline Officer then takes any necessary action according to the service level people are signed up to.

The service levels open to Linkline users are listed below:-

The alarm unit is provided and installed by Linkline. It is a stand alone unit, approximately the size of a telephone.
