Seeking a new direction this year or wishing to enhance your skills? If so, why not sign-up for one of our free residents training courses

Hounslow Homes’ Tenant Participation Team has organised a spring programme of training courses working in partnership with the Adult Education Department of the London Borough of Hounslow. This is an excellent opportunity for you to develop your skills and try something new.

Free DIY skills training to help you into employment

Hounslow Homes in partnership with Thames Valley Housing Association are offering residents the chance to acquire DIY skills that can be used to increase their chances of finding employment. This 3 day course will provide skills training in painting and decorating, tiling and wall papering. All equipment will be supplied and the course will also include Health and Safety training at an additional time prior to starting the DIY course. The courses will be running in September.

Money management training

Too much month at the end of your money? Let us help you with our fun and interactive workshops that will provide you with tips on budgeting, cutting costs, managing credit and getting more for your money. These 2.5 hour sessions begin in September so look out for details regarding times and venues for courses on our website. REACH West London

The Adult Training Network, REACH West London programme provides free support to help unemployed people find, apply for and secure the right job.

The Adult Training Network can support anyone who has been unemployed for 12 months or more and is:

  • claiming Incapacity Benefits, or Income support for health reasons
  • a lone parent
  • living with a partner who is working and has at least one child under 16.
