It is a great chance to come and sit along the green by the river and celebrate such a successful London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in true British style.

The Big Dance bus will be stopping at Duke’s Meadow Bandstand to make you move your feet to the charismatic beats of bhangra, salsa and pop! Try out new ways of dancing at the different workshops for all level and abilities with local organisations offering Chair dancing, Garba dancing and even the tiniest of tots can get involved and boogie down in a Baby Salsa class!

Fancy your turn in the spotlight? On the day there will be an open mic area for all budding singers, poets, beat boxers and story tellers and for anyone else who wants to share their talents and passions, you can also take the chance to sit back and listen to local historian James Marshall about Dukes Meadow’s and ‘what might of been...?’

Amongst all the fun there will be a libraries tent for storytelling, drumming and instrument making workshops and also join in magical Sing Along song shows. If you’re feeling peckish tickle your taste buds with a scrumptious treat from one of the many food stalls and for the adults a glass of Pimms can be enjoyed at the bar.
