The Olympic torch relay event in Hounslow on Tuesday 24 July will cause significant disruption as it passes through the Borough. Road closures are planned as follows:
- Brentford High Street between Half Acre and Tallow Road, from 11:30am to 12 noon approximately, to allow participants of the Brentford event to spill out onto the carriageway as the procession passes.
- The buses-and-deliveries-only section of Hounslow High Street between the School Road junction and Douglas Road from approximately 11:30am until 12:30pm.
It is also possible that other side / minor roads will also be closed. Traffic will be disrupted during the event and travel in the surrounding areas may be difficult. Disruption will likely occur before and after the torch passing through Hounslow.
We also expect the delays from road closures to affect appointments we have booked, however, we will try to keep to as many appointment times as we can.
