Hounslow Homes Kitchen and Bathroom Team has achieved 100% recycling / re-use of waste from our ‘Decent Homes’ kitchen and bathroom refurbishments thanks to a pilot undertaken with ‘y2be’ Waste Management Services.
The pilot is aimed at achieving the highest standards in waste management. This entails managing waste in both a cost effective and environmentally sustainable manner.
When carrying out refurbishments to kitchens and bathrooms, Hounslow Homes makes sure nothing goes to landfill by having designated skips onsite for wood, ceramics, and general waste which are collected by ‘y2be’ Waste Management Services once a fortnight to be recycled/reused.
Organisations constantly require innovative ways to deliver maximum recycling while reducing cost and conforming to the latest environmental regulations. Not only is Hounslow Homes recycling all kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, we are also reducing fuel emissions and our carbon footprint - because staff are not driving backwards and forwards from the tip.
