If you are ending your tenancy, you must contact the Customer Service Centre or visit your local housing reception to let us know.
You will need to complete a ‘Termination of Tenancy’ form. This lets us know of your intention to vacate the property.
You must give us at least 4 weeks notice. Your notice period will always end on a Monday, as this is when we charge the following weeks rent to your account. You will need to give us a forwarding address and you should have cleared any arrears on your account. Should there be arrears on your account we will continue to pursue payment for the amount you owe.
Your Estate Manager will carry out a Tenancy Check. This means the Estate Manager will visit the property to make sure you are leaving your home and/or garage in a clean and tidy state, there is no damage and that the fixtures and fittings of the property are still in place.
You must remove all your property before you leave. This includes any rubbish inside and outside the property.
If there is any damage to the property or we have to remove any rubbish after you leave we will recharge you for the clearance and for the cost of repairs.
On the date you are due to leave you must return ALL the keys to the property, including any sheds. The keys must be returned before 12pm (noon) on the date you are due to leave. We will charge you a full weeks rent if the keys are not returned on time.
