The staircase to my block has not been cleaned for weeks – who do I report this to?

Contact the Customer Service Centre by e-mailing the details to customerservicecentre@hounslowhomes.org.uk or by calling 0800 085 65 75. We will pass the details to the Estate Manager who will investigate. Please give us the details about the problem.

I have a new tenancy and I will receive a decoration allowance. How long do I need wait for this?

It can take up to 6 weeks for the allowance to be processed. If after this time you have not received your allowance, you can contact the Customer Service Centre who will check to see at what stage the payment is at. Please remember that if you are in arrears the payment will be offset againts your rent account first, towards clearing the balance. If there is any credit remaining you can apply for a refund from your rent account.

If this happens we will write to you to let you know.

I am in receipt of a decoration allowance payment but do not have a bank account.  What do I do?

You will needto produce to forms of identification:

  • Photo ID, such as your passport or drivers license
  • A utility bill or your tenancy agreement

Take these items and your payment (which will be in the form of a cheque) to the HSBC bank in Hounslow and they will cash the cheque for you.

How can I obtain a fob/security key for my block?

When you move into a property with a door entry system you will be given all the keys to the property including the fob key to the main door of your block.

If you lose the fob key or require additional fobs for other people living with you, you will be charged for each fob you require. The Customer Service Centre or your local housing reception can order a fob for you and will contact you when you can collect it.

How can I get a copy of my tenancy agreement?

Upon request we can send you a copy of your tenancy agreement. You should make a request in writing to us, to:

Tell us your full name and address and any reference number that will help us identify you. Please note there is an administration charge of £10 payable when you make your request, and should be made by cheque payable to Hounslow Homes.
