Harlech Gardens Green Gym

Residents join forces with The Conservation Volunteers to improve green spaces and get healthy

Hounslow Homes and The Conservation Volunteers are working together with residents to improve the communal spaces at Harlech Gardens in Heston. The aim is to start up a volunteer group that meets regularly to grow food, create attractive communal areas, learn new skills, get fit and healthy and make new friends.

Experienced leaders will guide residents through a range of projects, giving people the chance to tackle physical jobs in the outdoors. The practical activities will help residents improve their strength and stamina, boost practical skills and confidence, while at the same time improving the environment and the chosen green spaces at Harlech Gardens.

The 'Green Gym' will be starting in February 2014, check back soon for the latest news and updates and pictures of how the work is coming along.

Get Involved

Residents can join the team for a work day in the Harlech Garden Growers area to plant a soft fruit area on 22 February 2014. Come along with any questions, find out how to get involved. Refreshments will be provided so please come along for a cuppa and a chat!
