The action that we will take will depend on the type of issues that you are reporting, the powers we have to deal with those issues and the type of action that you agree we can take. We will give you advice and help about what we can do to support you and help you sort out the issues.
Here are some of the things we do to help:
- Providing you with extra security measures to protect you
- Referring your case to mediation
- Issuing warnings to the perpetrators
- Working with other agencies by signing acceptable behaviour contracts that youths and adults must keep to.
In more serious cases, we might get the police involved or take people causing harassment and anti-social behaviour to court to stop them. For example, by applying to the court for injunctions for possession of the property where tenancy conditions have been broken.
Any action that we take will only be with your consent.
Where we cannot help you, if the behaviour you have reported is not a breach of the tenancy agreement or leasehold conditions and Hounslow Homes has no legal power to act, we will give you advice about who else may be able to help.
If you report ASB to us when we are dealing with it we will:
- Keep you up to date with the investigation
- give emotional and practical support (i.e. transport you to court) in any situation where you are needed as a witness
- If staying in your home could threaten your or your families safety, we can sometimes offer you a temporary home or help you move to a different address
- Support you by using our neighbourhood wardens, professional witness officer or estate management staff if it is needed.
Don't ignore it, report it
If you are experiencing anti-social behaviour or witness anti-social behaviour against a neighbour, don't ignore it, report it. Speak to your ASB and Tenancy Estate manager at the Langdale Centre, Summerwood Road Isleworth. You can also call 0800 085 65 75 and the details will be passed to the ASB and Tenancy Team.
You can also speak to a Neighbourhood Warden or contact your local Safer Neighbourhoods Team. These teams work closely with our ASB and Tenancy Team to make your area safer.
The Neighbourhood wardens patrol from 3pm - 11pm seven days a week. The Safer Neighbourhoods Team does not provide a 24 hours service, you should always call 999 in an emergency. The general Police contact number is 0300 123 1212
