About Hounslow Homes

Hounslow Homes was formed in 2002 as one of the first eight arms length management organisations (ALMOs) in the country, and was awarded the highest three star rating by the Audit Commission for excellent Housing services in May 2005.

Hounslow Homes, wholly owned by the London Borough of Hounslow, is tasked with managing the council’s 16,500 homes and 2006 saw the completion of a £100 million refurbishment programme, meeting the Decent Homes Standard for all the councils housing stock 4 years ahead of the governments deadline

Services to residents include a Customer Service Centre with a free phone number, dedicated anti-social behaviour team that also supports and advises residents, and a caretaking and grounds maintenance service.

We are responsible for the majority of functions previously undertaken by Hounslow Council’s Housing Department. This includes home improvement works, leaseholder services, resident participation, home ownership, rents, customer services, training, partnering and procurement and service development.
